In the personal experience of these years, the appreciation for the art of creating the "mobile" artifact originates: the wood essences, the color, the grain, the painting, the varnishing contribute to creating the wealth of technical knowledge that Francesco brings with him in the company up to the present day.

At the end of the 1960s and after their marriage to Tilde, the young Mainini couple inaugurated their first furniture shop, following their passion for modern Italian design which is so popular in Milan. These are the years of Mina, Gaber, Patti Pravo, Armani, Ferre', Trussardi and Gualtiero Marchesi. In Italian industrial design they are also the years of Vico Magistretti, Joe Colombo, Gae Aulenti, Carlo Scarpa, Ignazio Gardella and the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni.

The young Mainini company embraces the trend of modern industrial furniture design, which is destined to quickly become synonymous with Italian good taste, arousing the admiration of the whole world.

In the 80s and 90s the company evolved: the showroom in Reggio Emilia expanded to 6,000 m2, with a project by the architect. Vittorio Rossi and still very recognizable today for the entrance with walkway over the reflecting pool, and the two iconic internal stairs in flaming Ferrari red.
A new showroom was also created in Parma in via Emilio Lepido, also very recognizable for the iconic polished brass airplane wing shelter that extends over the main entrance.

Today the Mainini company still offers the best of modern contemporary Italian design: Pininfarina, Luca Meda, Antonio Citterio, Mauro Lipparini, Enzo Mari, Philippe Stark, Massimo Iosa Ghini. And even today the products we offer are synonymous with the manufacturing quality that has made our country famous throughout the world.
